Lire is an eclectic monthly magazine that covers all types of literature: popular, French, foreign, poetry, science fiction, philosophy, ideas, romance… through a wide selection of reviews as well as features and investigations on writers, publishers, and social issues related to books.

It won the Best Cultural Magazine of the Year Award in 2007.

The editorial staff of Lire magazine compiles the list of the Best Books of the Year (novels, non-fiction, and essays) every December.
