Choose Your Camp Wisely

I insist on the importance of condemning the silence of Muslims regarding the crimes committed in the name of Islam. This is not out of hatred for Muslims, as some try to portray it. Anyone who understands the mentality of Muslims will grasp exactly what I mean and will not create unnecessary debate about my words. I think and speak with a critical mindset that belongs to humanist thought, and I do not attack Muslims as individuals—I criticize them so they may reconsider their positions and their silence.

As I see it, a Muslim is merely a transmitter and adopter of Islam without critical thinking. They must question what they transmit, what they practice, and what they believe in without awareness. Yes, they are transmitting a crime called Islam.

I belong to the Islamic world; I am neither European nor Western. That is why I criticize my own society, to which I belong, and I point at it clearly, saying: “You are complicit through your silence.” I do this out of love for my people and my family, and they understand exactly what I mean. The proof is that people from the Islamic world do not accuse me of racism or extremism, as happens in the West. On the contrary, they respect my frankness because I speak to them with clarity and without deception.

The only ones who accuse me are either Islamists and extremists, because they know that my words strike at the heart of their ideology, or the simple Muslim who is ignorant of Islam’s true nature, or those fake leftists and liberals who claim to be humanitarians but in reality, care only about their appearance and personal interests, disregarding the backward world we live in due to the Islamic mentality.

Categorizing Former Muslims

The topic is long and complex, especially when discussing former Muslims, as there are two main types of them:

  1. The first type focuses only on attacking Islam as religious texts without holding Muslims themselves accountable. This was the dominant stance before the so-called “Arab revolutions.” These individuals tended to adopt Western values such as secularism, human rights, and globalization, often to the point of blind admiration for the West.

  2. The second type are those who questioned why Islam harbors so much hatred and violence. They realized that the problem is not just in its application but in the texts themselves, leading them to attack Orthodox Islam in its entirety. These individuals do not stop at criticizing Islamists; they also confront Muslims who remain silent or complicit with this oppressive ideology. They understand that the problem is not limited to extremists but extends to Muslims who refuse to abandon texts that justify violence and discrimination.

When someone leaves Islam, the threat to their life and freedom does not come only from Islamists—it also comes from so-called “moderate” Muslims, who are often the first to threaten and persecute them. Therefore, these Muslims must stop their complicity and choose: either to stand with humanity or to support radical Islam, even if it means being accused of apostasy by Islamists themselves.

Confronting Islamic Complicity

It is essential to confront Muslims directly and wake them from their intellectual slumber, making them realize that, through their silence, they are complicit in the crimes committed in the name of Islam. They cannot continue playing the role of the innocent victim while refusing to criticize their sacred texts that incite hatred and violence.

I do not attack peoples or races; I confront a destructive ideology that millions of Muslims believe to be divine revelation. Criticizing such an ideology cannot be considered racism, despite what some claim.

Muslims who claim to be moderate must accept criticism of Islam, protect apostates, and stand by freedom and humanity—not alongside oppressive Islam. Otherwise, they are complicit in the crime, even if they do not personally commit acts of violence.

The Illusion of “Human Rights” and Western Hypocrisy

The paradox is that many Westerners fail to grasp the severity of the problem. They remain attached to human rights principles that they try to apply to people who do not even understand what it means to be human. Muslims do not believe in human rights as we know them; they see this life as merely a transitional phase toward an eternal afterlife, which is why they place no value on human rights, freedom of thought, women’s rights, or children’s rights.

Those who claim to be humanitarians and advocates of tolerance are, in truth, hypocrites who are ignorant of the Islamic mentality. They think only of themselves, disregarding the terror and psychological and physical persecution that apostates endure—simply because they are afraid to face the truth.

Even more shocking is that some former Muslims do not even try to educate their families and instead live in constant hypocrisy, hiding their atheism or non-belief out of fear of persecution. These individuals are also responsible for the continuation of ignorance and backwardness in their communities, as they refuse to address the issue directly.

I say to them: “You blame me for being direct with Muslims while you hide behind fear and hypocrisy! How do you expect to change anything if you do not confront it with courage?”

The Battle Between Civilization and Darkness

If we want to put an end to the influence of Islam, we must address Muslims openly, explain their religion to them, and make them choose their camp:

  • Either civilization, progress, and humanity.
  • Or ignorance, crime, and censorship, represented by traditional inherited Islam.

This is a long intellectual battle between the values of civilization and freedom and the regression and oppression that Islam represents. Everyone must decide their position:

  • Either stand with human values against religious oppression.
  • Or align with Islam and support obscurantism.

Conclusion

Instead of fleeing from the truth and accusing others of racism and hatred, Muslims and their sympathizers must open the door to genuine discussion. The problem is not “Islamophobia”—the problem is Islam itself, which contradicts modern human values.

Muslims must decide:

  • Either they join the civilized world,
  • Or they continue to live in the darkness of the past, dragging their societies further into backwardness and decline.

The choice is clear, so choose your camp wisely.
