Indifference in Gnosis and the Birth of Humanity<\/strong><\/h2>\n

Are we not all in a state of waiting, from birth until death?<\/h3>\n

We are in a constant waiting room, moving through it without truly realizing it.<\/p>\n

So, do not rush.
Do not burden yourself with worries.
Let things flow as a river flows\u2014calmly, without resistance.<\/p>\n

Your existence, no matter how long it lasts,
no matter how much you speak, act, or reflect,
is ultimately a simulation of what is yet to come.<\/p>\n

Yes, your existence\u2014and everything surrounding it\u2014is but a trial and an experience.<\/p>\n

Let us, then, embark on the adventure of diving into the state of “indifference”<\/em>,
where thought precedes tradition,
and where questions are more important than answers…<\/p>\n

\n

The Path of Knowledge: A Grueling Journey<\/strong><\/h3>\n

The path of knowledge is arduous and exhausting.
Blessed are those who live in ignorance, as Abu al-Tayyib al-Mutanabbi<\/a> once said:<\/p>\n

\n

“The man of reason suffers in bliss through his mind,
while the ignorant revels even in misery.”<\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n

Whoever has tasted the forbidden fruit of knowledge has fallen into its trap.
There is no way back.
Thus, I say to myself and to you: May your reward be great.<\/strong>
All we can do is endure patiently until we leave this life.<\/p>\n

\n

The Sequence of Gnostic Exploration<\/strong><\/h3>\n

Originally, I intended to discuss “Deism,”
but I preferred to maintain the sequence I outlined in my notes “The Absolute Zero God,”<\/em>
which documents a long journey contemplating the evolution of the divine concept in human consciousness.<\/p>\n

This journey began with indifference<\/em>,
then moved through Deism<\/em>,
and culminated in Atheism<\/em> as the peak of this intellectual evolution.<\/p>\n

So tell me: What do you believe in?
And I will tell you from which era your ideas come:<\/p>\n

  • \n

    The traditionalist<\/strong>: lives in indifference.<\/p>\n<\/li>\n

  • \n

    The contemporary<\/strong>: believes in a deity.<\/p>\n<\/li>\n

  • \n

    The progressive<\/strong>: is the atheist, the one striving for truth.<\/p>\n<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n

    And so, the atheist suffers,
    because he is ahead of his time.<\/p>\n

    \n

    Indifference: The Origin of Human Existence<\/strong><\/h3>\n

    Indifference is not a deviation\u2014it was the beginning.<\/p>\n

    It is not “indifference” in the negative sense, but rather a state of dormancy<\/strong>:
    readiness before motion, the silence before the explosion.<\/p>\n

    In Gnosis, states of consciousness are divided as follows:<\/p>\n

      \n
    • \n

      Mechanical instinct<\/strong> (neutral\/stagnant): from inanimate matter to higher animals.<\/p>\n<\/li>\n

    • \n

      Indifference<\/strong> (dormancy): an internal readiness that has not yet been activated.<\/p>\n<\/li>\n

    • \n

      Engagement<\/strong>: active involvement in life, both mentally, emotionally, and materially.<\/p>\n<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n

      Humans alone were able to move beyond indifference into engagement.
      Other creatures remain within their instinctive nature,
      but humans possess the potential for transformation.<\/p>\n

      Yet indifference is not absolute; it is relative.
      A person may be engaged in one aspect and indifferent in another.<\/p>\n

      Especially when it comes to concepts like “God” and “the Divine,”
      we call this specific state “Gnostic Indifference<\/strong>.”<\/p>\n

      Today, most humans are deeply engaged with the material world.
      Only a few have transcended toward gnosis.<\/p>\n

      \n

      The Role of the Female in the Birth of Gnosis<\/strong><\/h3>\n

      The first elite to walk the path of Gnosis were women<\/strong>.<\/p>\n

      Through their isolation in caves\u2014during childbirth and child-rearing\u2014
      a silent, contemplative awareness was born within them.<\/p>\n

      In the beginning, woman was worshiped as a goddess<\/strong>,
      the source of life,
      while man served her and guarded her.<\/p>\n

      But when humanity discovered the male\u2019s role in reproduction,
      the balance shifted.
      The centrality of the feminine collapsed,
      and authority became patriarchal.<\/p>\n

      Woman was reduced to a mere “vessel”<\/strong> for procreation.<\/p>\n

      Yet Gnosis never forgot that it was the feminine consciousness
      that first planted the seeds of awareness.<\/p>\n

      \n

      The Future of Humanity: Beyond Gender<\/strong><\/h3>\n

      Humanity is moving toward transcending the gender binary<\/strong> (male and female).<\/p>\n

      In the future, gender will likely become a choice, not a biological constraint<\/strong>.
      A person will be measured by their essence, not by their sex.<\/p>\n

      This trend has already begun to gain acceptance and will, with time,
      become completely normalized.<\/p>\n

      Ultimately, human beings will be liberated from gender constraints<\/strong>.<\/p>\n

      The male and female will integrate within the “complete human being,”
      carrying within themselves the meaning of “God” and “the Divine”\u2014
      not as representations of father and mother,
      but as a unified, essential reality.<\/p>\n

      \n

      Indifference: A Primitive State at Its Core<\/strong><\/h3>\n

      The fact that indifference is a primitive state does not necessarily make it negative.
      Rather, it signifies an earlier phase of development<\/strong>.<\/p>\n

      The indifferent human resembles the primitive being.
      While the aware<\/strong>, the bold<\/strong>, the seeker of understanding<\/strong>, is the more evolved form.<\/p>\n

      From here arises the notion of agnosticism<\/strong> among the general masses.
      But for the gnostic, agnosticism is an illusion<\/strong>.<\/p>\n

      The gnostic understands that indifference<\/strong> is simply a stage\u2014
      whereas agnosticism is seen as a form of falsehood and loss<\/strong>.<\/p>\n

      \n

      The Three Stages of Human Development in Gnosis<\/strong><\/h3>\n

      Stage One: Pre-Human (Before the First Adam)<\/h4>\n

      The phase referred to by the gnostics as “Before the First Adam”
      was the era of the higher animals.<\/p>\n

      Creatures operating under mechanical instinct<\/strong>,
      where the essence of humanity had not yet emerged.<\/p>\n

      The Quranic verse, “Indeed, I will place upon the earth a vicegerent,”<\/em>
      refers to this transitional phase.<\/p>\n

      The angels objected:<\/p>\n

      \n

      “Will You place upon it one who causes corruption and sheds blood?”<\/em>
      \u2014 describing the attributes of animal nature, not yet true humanity.<\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n

      But the Divine saw in some of them the potential for transformation<\/strong>:
      moving from instinct, to indifference, and finally to engagement.<\/p>\n

      It was from among these beings that the human line eventually arose.<\/p>\n

      Stage Two: Creation \u2014 From Animal to Human<\/h4>\n

      A genetic mutation<\/strong> occurred,
      leading to the emergence of a new type.<\/p>\n

      A being fundamentally different:
      no longer purely animal,
      but not yet fully human either.<\/p>\n

      A transitional creature<\/strong>.<\/p>\n

      This was the “human embryo<\/strong>” that inhabited Africa\u2014
      the beginning of what we now call “Homo habilis<\/strong>.”<\/p>\n

      They had no developed language,
      nor advanced tools,
      but they walked upright and lived in caves.<\/p>\n

      “LUCY,” the famous fossil found in Ethiopia,
      is an example of this early form.<\/p>\n

      Stage Three: Homo habilis \u2014 Childhood and Eden<\/h4>\n

      The true birth of humanity<\/strong> begins here, according to Gnosis.<\/p>\n

      At this stage, humanity:<\/p>\n

        \n
      • \n

        learned to name things,<\/p>\n<\/li>\n

      • \n

        crafted tools,<\/p>\n<\/li>\n

      • \n

        discovered fire.<\/p>\n<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n

        In Gnostic symbolism, this phase is referred to as “Eden<\/strong>.”
        And Africa was the Garden of Eden<\/strong>.<\/p>\n

        Humans were free in everything\u2014
        except for one restriction:
        not to eat from the Tree of Knowledge<\/strong>.<\/p>\n

        But eating from that tree, in symbolic terms,
        signified the beginning of humanity\u2019s exit from innocence,
        the descent into the material world,
        and the acceptance of death.<\/p>\n

        Thus began humanity\u2019s exodus from Africa,
        and the start of a new phase of consciousness.<\/p>\n

        \n

        Conclusion<\/strong><\/h3>\n

        Indifference was never a weakness of consciousness.
        It was the moment of silence<\/strong> that preceded the cosmic explosion<\/strong> within the human mind.<\/p>\n

        It was the origin<\/strong> from which:<\/p>\n

          \n
        • \n

          the first questions emerged,<\/p>\n<\/li>\n

        • \n

          the first curiosity was born,<\/p>\n<\/li>\n

        • \n

          the first rebellion ignited.<\/p>\n<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n

          Indifference was the womb<\/strong> that nurtured the birth of the complete human being<\/strong>:
          the seeker, the thinker, the knower.<\/p>\n

          When we understand that indifference is not the end,
          but rather the beginning<\/strong>,
          only then can we truly continue the journey.<\/p>\n

          A journey:<\/p>\n

            \n
          • \n

            toward the self,<\/p>\n<\/li>\n

          • \n

            toward knowledge,<\/p>\n<\/li>\n

          • \n

            toward liberation.<\/p>\n<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n

            And because we do not have the luxury of standing still,
            every step we take on this path\u2014
            even if paved with doubt\u2014
            brings us closer to truth.<\/p>\n
